A fantastic morning of sports was held on Tuesday 24th July 2007.Â

The children all had a great time and the weather was rain free! A big THANK YOU to Mrs Graham for arranging her very last Sports Day. She will be greatly missed!

Many thanks to all of those people who have helped us in our support of the ASDA “bags of goodies for schools” campaign. We have collected lots of green vouchers and been rewarded with some great environmentally friendly gifts, including some can crushers and a paper recycling kit! Thanks again.

Potty about Potatoes! By Simon Dickinson.

Just before Easter, Year 6 planted potatoes, in our allotment area, hoping in a few months time we would have lovely spuds to cook. Today, the 19th July, we harvested two buckets full of lovely fresh potatoes. We cooked them in a variety of ways: boiled and garnished with butter and mint, boiled and smothered with garlic butter, roasted with garlic and lemon zest, roasted and served with pesto, and finally boiled with served with parsley butter. David said “They were delicious!” Mark thought that they had more flavour than shop bought ones. Mr Buckley said “They were absolutely delicious, you obviously have some very talented gardeners and chefs, in Year 6.”
