ICT – Combining Text and Graphics

Posted in ICT@ Tithe Barn, Year 3 by pjones on 21st January, 2008

We are working at creating pieces of work to send to Khensani Primary in South Africa so that the children in Tall Freddahs class can learn all about us and what we like. To do this we will create a Powerpoint Slide that can include text, images we have drawn in Revelation Natural Art and any other images such as clip art in order to design a cover page. This page will then be changed into a JPEG (a picture format) so that anyone can see our work on any computer without needing powerpoint on their computers.

By doing this we will be able to make our own pages that we can then put onto the school website about anything we are doing to help us learn about different things!

Mr Jones couldn’t help himself starting with a profile about Emma to show us what he wanted from us…

What do you think of our profiles? Things to think about…

  • Have we used colours that match well?

  • Can you see how we’ve added pictures to make it more interesting?

  • Is the writing clear?

  • Have you learnt about the person who has made the slide?

  • What have they done well, and what could they improve?
