The children are required in school on Thursday 10 December for the evening performances of ‘The ‘X’mas Factor’ between 6.00pm and 6.10pm. We are expecting the performance to finish by 7.15pm. Your child will stay in their classroom for you to pick up from there.

It is expected that all the children will take part in each of the performances. If for any reason your child is unable to attend please speak to your child’s class teacher.

Measuring – Converting Units – cm & mm

Posted in Numeracy, Year 5 by pjones on 9th December, 2009

We’ve looked at changing units of measurement, from cm into mm and vice versa.

To do this the children need to understand that there are 10mm in 1cm.

cm-mm-ruler2

2cm = 20mm

3cm = 30mm

4cm = 40 and so on..

Here is a game to test that knowledge.. :)

How did you do?
