On Friday 5th February Year 2 visited The Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. We had a very busy afternoon investigating patterns and creating our own.

 Here we are at work drawing objects we felt in a feely bag.

Next we had to find different shapes and animals that were sewn or printed into different textiles. What can you see in this fabric?

We finished the afternoon by drawing round each other in a warrior pose and filling the body shapes with patterns:

We also had fun dressing up!

We had a great afternoon and must say a big thank you to all our adult helpers. We think they enjoyed themselves too!

We now have, by request, more USB headsets for use with the RosettaStone software. They’re priced at £15 and avaliable from either Mrs Rippon or Mrs Jones.

We hope everyone had a great half term!

We’re getting prepared for this week and are a little nervous but we are looking forward to it all aswell!
