Have a Lovely Christmas
Last week saw magical performances from Tithe Barn’s children, as they performed their Christmas Nativity show, ‘Innspectors’ and the KS2 Carol Concert to proud smiles, cheers and rapturous applause from the audience.
The staff worked their Xmas socks off to ensure children knew their songs and the words and could deliver them crisply, as well as where to stand and when/how to deliver their lines. They were excellent performances and all the better for having a wonderful stage on which to perform.
As the term draws to a close, I would like to say a huge thank you to the children, parents, staff and governors for all their support. It is a privilege to be the head teacher of such a fantastic school and I look forward to working with you next term to continue to develop the school and enhance the children’s education.
Thanks to the fantastic efforts of FOTB, the wonderful raffle coordinators and parental support we have raised an amazing £3345.73.
Thanks to all the wonderful local businesses that supported us. Everyone’s fantastic efforts have enabled us to buy a stage for our children to perform on.
It is with great sadness that today will be Mr Donaldson’s last day in school. He is setting off on a new adventure in France with his wife and new born son.
We would like to thank him for all his hard work since he joined Tithe Barn. It has been a privilege to work with him and we wish him all the best for the future.

Year 1 Victorian Day
In Year 1 this week the children had the most fantastic day to end their topic and stepped back in time. They came to school dressed as children from Victorian times and were met by a very stern teacher who made them pay for the privilege.
A short film of the day is available to watch on the Year 1 class page on E-Schools.
Year 5 Swimming
Year 5 will begin swimming on Friday 11th January 2018. Further information will be sent out during the first week back.
Year 2 and Year 6 SATs Information Evening
On 16th January 2019 at 6.30 pm we are inviting parents of children in Year 2 and Year 6 to attend an information evening.
During the session we will share information about how the assessments are completed at our school and ways in which parents can support their child. If you are unable to attend this evening we will send out information after the event via email.
We have been busy updating our E-Schools site and have created a new section named ‘Groups’. To access this area you need to log in to the site.
We have uploaded both performances of our Christmas Nativity and Carol Concert to the Groups Section to enable parents who were unable to join us to watch it at home.
We have also uploaded a range of videos including our recent Victorian Day to the class pages. Thanks to Mr Stamper for all his hard work in creating these films and enabling us to share what is happening in school with you.
We hope you enjoy them.
Thank you for taking the time to read the newsletter. Have a lovely Christmas.
