It has been a wonderful week sharing and celebrating some of our Tithe Barn traditions. We had a fantastic number of entries to our annual Flower Festival and have raised over £60 for Francis House. The children enjoyed watching the wonderful creations based on this year’s theme ‘Key Events in History.’ If you would like to watch at home, here is the link-
As this term draws to a close, I would like to say a special thank you to my amazing staff team who have gone above and beyond this term to ensure that they adhere to new policies and procedures whilst also ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning are provided for all of our children. Their support and hard work is much appreciated.

Frequently Asked Questions for Parents on the Reopening
How many children are in a bubble?
In Tithe Barn, a bubble will consist of two year groups together except for Reception which will operate as a bubble on its own. Years 5 and 6, Years 3 and 4 and Years 1 and 2 will operate as bubbles together.
Should my child wear a mask in school?
There is no requirement for pupils to wear masks in primary schools
Where local lockdown restrictions apply, face coverings should be worn by adults and pupils in secondary schools when moving around, such as in corridors and communal areas, where social distancing is difficult maintain.
Will my child’s teacher be wearing a full mask?
Normally, teachers will not be wearing full masks. However, there are a few situations where this may be required – for example if a member of staff must provide close medical care for your child.

It has been a busy time at Tithe Barn. I have seen some amazing examples of learning in school.

* Year 1 have been taking a dot for a walk and exploring Paul Klee’s art work
* Year 2 have been learning about London and created an amazing display of observational drawings,
* Year 3 have been busy learning how to use the different applications on Google classroom
* Year 4 have created their own scutum (Roman shields)
* Year 5 have been creating time lines for the history of space
* Year 6 have been investigating evidence that proves the earth is a sphere
