Welcome back to our final half term of this academic year. We have lots of exciting events happening this term and I do hope you can join us.
We are extremely proud of all our children but in particularly our Year 6s, who worked exceptionally hard and were a credit to themselves and the school during the SATs and the recent residential last term.
I would also like to welcome our two new parent governors to our school, Mr Duffit (parent of a child in Reception and with a financial background) and Ms Metcalfe (parent of a child in year 1) who works in the field of education and performing arts. I am sure they will be an asset to the school.

We are very excited that we are being joined by a number of new teachers this year to strengthen and develop our school team. They bring with them a range of skills including PE and sports coaching, Maths and Music and English. I am sure you will all join me in welcoming them to our fabulous school.

Please can I remind parents that we do not allow nuts in school. This is due to a number of children in school having severe nut allergies. Please can you check any snack bars that you send to school and ensure they do not contain nuts.
Thank you for supporting us with this matter.
As you know we are working on developing a new school website. We want the new site to be a resource for parents and pupils. The current school website at http://www.tithebarnschool.com/blog/ – this website has information, newsletters, policies, links and twitter feeds about our school, there is a link to the EPAY also on the current site.
The new site – which is under development, is up and running so that payments can be made via EPAY and parent interview can be booked online.
Fundraising for Lumos
On Friday 18th May, Melody from Year 3 ran a name the teddy stall in aid of the charity Lumos. She was overwhelmed with the support from the school community and raised a fantastic £36.00.
