Tithe Barn Times 10th May 2019

Busy, Busy

It is another busy term at Tithe Barn and time seems to be flying by! This week Reception had an amazing afternoon at the Town Hall and joined with lots of Stockport schools to sing a range of nursery rhymes. I would like to say thank you to Mrs Gholinia for organising such a lovely opportunity.

We are very proud of how we have developed our children’s knowledge and skills in IT, the development of our computer suite and the use of chrome books across the curriculum. In KS2 our children use a variety of Google Apps to enhance their education further and we will be hosting an evening for parents after half term to share the practice in school and ways parents can support their children at home. I do hope you can join us!

Breakfast will be served from 8 am until 8.40am. Please enter school through the front door and come and join us.

Polytunnel

We would like you to helpus to purchas a new polytunnel to enable us to grow our own fruits and vegetables and develop our outdoor learning further.

Please can you nominate us for an award of £1000 from Ecclesiastical. In order to do so you will need FOTB’s charity number 1088769. Please click on the link and help us to achieve our goal.

Sickness

Please can parents remember that if your child is sick or sent home because they have been sick in school they must remain absent for school for 48 hours. This is part of the protocol agreed by the LA.

Thank you for your support with this matter.

Bags to School

  • Bag2School will be collecting from us again on Tuesday May 21st. Please make time for a clear out in the next few weeks and either drop off your donations w/c13th May or bring them with you when you drop the children at Cinema Night. We will send Bag2School plastic bags out in book bags today.

FOTB Cinema Night

On Friday 17th May we are having a FOTB Cinema Night. We will be watching Missing Link doors open at 5.30pm for 6pm start. The letter for tickets will be sent home next week.

We’re on the hunt for a volunteer to oversee the event on the night (with lots of helpers of course). If you can help us out please contact Steph Dawson.
