Welcome back to a very busy half term as we begin the countdown to Christmas!
Please find attached a document providing further details on all the different events which will be occurring in school this half term. We hope you find it useful. I hope you all had a lovely half term. Many of our children spent time during the holidays with Mr Stamper and Miss Edwards on our Forest Schools Day. Listening to the feedback from children and parents they had a fantastic day and I would like to thank Mr Stamper and Miss Edwards for giving up their time in the school holidays. If your child is interested in attending we will be offering similar days in the future. I look forward to another great half term, with lots of wonderful learning in school.
Recently a number of children from Year 4 attended a local Math’s Challenge at Lum Head Primary School. The day consisted of challenging questions which involved recalling multiplication and division facts and problem solving. The children had an amazing time and worked very well in teams. We were extremely proud of them all. One of our teams won the competition and we have shared their exciting news in our Learning Assembly.

Bags to School
You will have received a bag for our next collection of unwanted adult and children’s clothing, paired shoes, hats, belts, handbags, ties and soft toys. We would appreciate your support in collecting these items. The bags will be collected at 9am on 12th November and can be returned to school any time before then.
Dogs in the playground
Please can I politely remind parents that dogs are not allowed in the school playground or on the paths around school. I kindly ask that all parents respect our school policy. Thank you ever so much for your support with this matter.
It has come to our attention that some parents are having problems with Doodle Maths, particularly when using the website. We have reported the problems to the company and they have suggested that the problem may be that children are using the website on a device such as an I pad rather than the app. As a solution, they recommend that you download the most up to date version of the app onto devices and use this. If problems persist please let us know so we can rectify them. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
